Gift Basket: When the Time is Right
Are you looking for that perfect gift? If so, there are many options that you can choose from in today?s day and age. But when it comes down to it, there are not too many better than gift baskets. Over the past few years gift baskets have really taken off in popularity. This is due in large part to a lot of people wanting to send something unique to the people that they love. But this still leaves one question to be answered, when should you send somebody a gift basket?
The great thing about the gift basket industry is that it was built with many different occasions and types of people in mind. Chances are that no matter what situation you are in you can find a gift basket that can work to your advantage. For example, there are gift baskets for everything from birthdays to Valentines Day. Additionally, many companies also sell gift baskets that are general in nature so that they can be given for no particular reason at all.
Another benefit of giving a gift basket is that you can deliver it on your own, or you can decide to have this done for you. Either way, you will be sure that your gift basket reaches the proper recipient when it is supposed to. Most people have even found that if they order their gift basket through an online vendor that they can save a lot of money in the process as well. And it does not get any better than a unique gift that does not break the bank.
So as you can see, you can give a gift basket to anybody for any occasion. Gone are the days when you had to search hour after hour for the perfect gift. If you are having a hard time making a decision, simply give a gift basket to show how much you care. They come in a variety of different types, and can be bought for a relatively low cost. It is safe to say that the gift basket industry is here to stay, and will only continue to increase in popularity.

TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 360 LS Chronograph Wins 2007 iF Design Award
Last month the TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 360 LS Concept Chronograph, the world's only 1/100th of a second mechanical chrongraph, was awarded the prestigious iF Design Award for 2007 by the International Forum Design Jury.
The iF Design Jury is a hand-picked group of watch design experts from around the world appointed with the daunting task of selecting the best designs in various categories of watches.
Since 1953 the iF Design Awards have given recognition to the finest in innovation and cutting-edge watch designs. The all-mechanical Monaco Calibre 360 LS Concept Chronograph won in the Leisure/Lifestyle category.
Chosen from a field of over 2,200 products from 35 countries, this award marks the second consecutive year that a TAG Heuer watch has won the award. In 2006 the TAG Heuer Professional Golf Watch, co-designed with Tiger Woods, won the iF Design Award in the same category.
With this new award, TAG Heuer continues to demonstrate its endless creativity and cutting-edge design capabilities. The Monaco Calibre 360 LS Concept Chronograph was unveiled in April 2006 at Baselworld as a representation of the next evolutionary phase for TAG Heuer’s Calibre 360 chronograph movement.
This unique mechanical movement is the first ever in the history of watch making to achieve precision of 1/100th of a second. It also features a Linear Second for the permanent second, another world first! TAG Heuer has been able to achieve this unprecedented level of accuracy by creating a movement that vibrates at an astounding 360,000 beats per hour. That is ten times the rate of most mechanical chronometers.
The dial features an “oversized” 1/100th of a second chronograph sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position which is powered by the Caliber 360 manual wind movement; a 15-minute chronograph counter at 9 o'clock, a 100-minute power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and a linear second indicator at 3 o’clock.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 360 LS is a "concept" watch, which means it is not yet in production. The only watch in production that uses the Calibre 360 movement is the Limited Edition TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Calibre 360 LE featuring a rose gold case, transparent case back and reptile skin band. Production of this watch was limited to 500 pieces and has a list price of $18,000. How Much of a Threat is The Zune to the Apple iPod
The Apple iPod recently celebrated its 5th birthday at a time not long after during the summer there was a slight worry that uptake of iPods was slower than expected and was slowing down in general. Then along came Apple to announce the 2nd Generation iPods Nano and the upgraded iPod Video plus incredibly small new Shuffle. We were all aware that MicroSoft were developing the Zune hoping for it to rival and take over the enormous market share in MP3 players that Apple currently enjoy. But are there any reasons to purchase a Zune over an iPod?
Well at first glance it would appear not. The capacity is the same as the lower model iPod Video at 30GB, there is a video screen much like the Video iPod. So what is so different that will convinced buyers looking at the two and deciding what to buy that the Zune is the better choice. For a start a big part of the Zune is that it has wireless sharing capabilities allowing you to send your music to another Zune and download without connecting cables this is a massive bonus for fellow Zune owners who want to share tracks and video footage and also Microsoft in the USA have introduced unlimited downloads for just $14.99 a month something that Apple are yet to introduce for their users of iTunes.
The Zune also comes with an excellent portrait mode allowing you to turn your Zune sideways and watch video swith an image and picture more conducive to easy viewing something that Apple iPod Users have lng been calling for. Add to all these positives the fact that the Zune comes with a built in FM Radio and suddenly it is starting to look like a serious competitor next to the Video iPod after all!
